Abstract

The virtually ubiquitous always-on connectivity with mobile devices has enabled remote access to geographically distributed data providing anytime, anywhere access and potentially unlimited storage for personal digital content However, the user motives, the available devices, and the available connection types vary from one situation to another. In this paper, we discuss the characteristics of the user's notion of seamlessness when accessing the distributed content and the means supporting it. In addition, we propose guidelines for designing seamless mobile user experience with personal content.
