Abstract

In this paper, we propose flow level service classification according to application's deterministic characteristics in packet size and flow length, and design service differentiation scheme in best-effort networks with Packet size and Flow length based Random Early Detection (PF-RED). In our results, PF-RED can provide service differentiation without sacrificing overall performance.
