QoS routing is one of the ways to ensure the fulfilment of requirements by multimedia applications. The goal of QoS routing is not only to find a feasible path that can satisfy a set of QoS constraints specified by the multimedia application, but also to optimize the global network resource utilization. In the previous work, a GA-based QoS routing algorithm has been proposed and the performance of the algorithm with respect to its ability to a find a feasible path has been evaluated. In this paper, the performance of the proposed algorithm with respect to the network link utilization is evaluated. Based on experimental result, the proposed algorithm is shown to be able to better utilize network link as compared to the other QoS routing algorithms.
