Abstract

The scatter plot of two image mixtures, generated by mixing two positive sources, is bounded by a parallelogram, the orientations of which are defined by the two ratios of the four mixing coefficients. The existence of inter-source dependencies creates a distribution bounded by a different rectilinear shape, bounded by the original parallelogram. Based on this observations a robust graphical method for Blind Source Separation (BSS) is presented with reference to the scatter plot of the mixtures. The error analysis in presence of inter source dependencies is presented.
