Abstract

This paper presents a simple algorithm for jointly estimating Carrier Frequency Offset and I/Q Imbalance parameters. The reduced complexity algorithm used is previously proposed as an estimation algorithm using 2 long training symbols of the 802.11a preamble containing 64 samples each. We have shown in this paper that using two short training symbols for faster and less complex estimation scheme is only 1-2 dB below a system without CFO or IQ Imbalance.
