More and more of wireless sensor networks (WSN) are proposed in the past years. However, due to the differences of protocols between WSN and Internet, data exchange with these heterogeneous networks is a serious issue. In this paper, we propose an architecture, named IAPA (Integrated wireless Access Point Architecture) for WSN, that amended WLAN AP to convergence the heterogeneous networks. It is a low-cost way to bridge WSN and Internet. A comparison with other related works is proposed. It shows that IAPA is more flexible, low-cost, low-power and easy to build than others.
