Abstract

As Electronic Commerce grows, false and misleading claims on the internet are growing. Finding false and misleading claims, warning the merchants to correct them, and informing consumers to avoid them are critical in order to increase the credibility of electronic commerce. However, it is difficult for concerned individuals to visit all the suspicious sites to review the claims. The precision by search engines is so low that it takes too much time to detect the false and misleading claims. Therefore, the scenario is realistic that a software agent collects the suspicious websites and experts review the sites to determine whether the sites have false and misleading claims. Recently weight loss attracts the interest of many people in Korea. In order to find the false and misleading online claims for weight loss products in Korea, we have proposed the architecture of text analysis keywords and the framework of the software agent based on the keywords classified by the category of claims for weight loss. In addition, we have shown the efficiency of the agent is 49.3% more efficient than the search engine.
