Abstract

The paper presents case based reasoning (CBR) methods of cases similarity calculation applied in the elaborated expert system for aided design ship's engine room automation. These methods were implemented in the database application and expert system following the example of main propulsion automation. Their results were compared and analyzed for similar ships search in the database. For verification of the methods implemented in the database application fuzzy logic in expert system has been used.
