The idea of fuzzy relational equation with generalized connectives is introduced and algorithms of resolution of this class equations are presented in details. It is clearly shown that some types of well-known fuzzy relational equations (sup-min, inf-max) can be treated as special cases of a wise class of equations under discussion. Applicational aspects are carefully investigated, presenting the advantages of the proposed approach.
