The recent interest in using knowledge about genetic systems to develop a theory of molecular computation, and the increasing challenge for the development of formal tools to handle the huge amount of knowledge acquired in big projects like the Human Genome Project, inspired to present paper the purpose of which is to show that the theory of Fuzzy Formal Language (FFL) may provide the answer X to such claims. However, it is also pointed here, that much remains to be done to fully develop this theory for such a purpose.
