In this paper we define similarity relations on fuzzy sets of a pretopological space. The underlying pretopological space will be said to play the role of an expression substratum. We compare these relations with pretopological homeomorphisms. These relations can be used to define relative positions of expression of fuzzy sets. Groups of homeomorphisms of a pretopological space are key concepts. They are representative of some symmetries of the space. We give very simple examples to clarify these rather abstract notions.
