Abstract

The aim of this paper is to investigate the multiple attribute decision making problems with intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy information, in which the information about attribute weights is incompletely known, and the attribute values take the form of intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy number. We developed a multiple attribute decision making method by closeness to ideal alternative in intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy setting, by which the attribute weights can be determined. We propose the intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy weighted geometric(ITFWG) operator and utilize it to aggregate the intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy information corresponding to each alternative, and then rank the alternatives by means of the aggregated intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy information. Finally, an example about supplier selection is shown to highlight the procedure of the proposed algorithm.
