Abstract

We develop a first order analytical model to estimate the average delay in wireless local area networks (WLANS) based on the IEEE enhanced distributed coordination access (EDCA) 802.11n with medium access control (MAC) protocols that support aggregation and concatenation of data frames. A widely set of conclusion are drawn founded on a fair comparison between analytical and simulation results.
