Abstract

Paper describes empirical analysis of UMTS multipath propagation at 2127.6 MHz in an active Belgrade 3G network for the case of stationary UMTS ROMES TSMQ (Rohde&Schwarz) measurement receiver. Reader will be introduced to characteristics of LOS and NLOS measurement scenarios, so as with measurement results which include: basic parameters for time dispersion of UMTS propagation channel and their distribution, probability of appearance of number of and mean normalized power dependence of time dispersion. The goal of this paper is to make a first level (physical layer) analysis addressed towards the real birth-death model creation of UMTS propagation channel.
