Abstract

The paper presents a nonlinear model built by physical principles and a δ discrete liniarized model for steam generation systems. These types of systems are a crucial part of most power plants. A simulator based on the nonlinear model is obtained by using real technical data from a steam boiler being in use at Power Station of Iaşi. A δ-ARX model is applied to the identification for the steam drum boiler system. A comparison is made with the standard shift operator model, using datasets provided by the simulator. The δ domain drum boiler model is derived in order to be of interest in control design. The two models were also validated using data from tests carried out on the actual plant.
