Abstract

Wireless sensors networks (WSNs) are susceptible because of its characters. The traditional security mechanisms cannot be use to protect the WSNs. Trust and reputation are recently suggested as an effective secure mechanism for Ad hoc networks. Moreover biologic authentication based on gene has been suggested as a most effective identity authentication mechanism. Using the trust and reputation mechanism and the identity authentication mechanism based gene to secure WSNs requires paying close attention to the incurred bandwidth and delay overhead. In the paper, a routing protocol called Secure Routing Protocol Cluster-Gene-Based for Wireless Sensor Networks (SRPBCG) is proposed, which can provide a method of secure routing with WSNs of great restriction. The object of scheme is to mange trust and reputation locally and to authenticate identity of node with minimal overhead and time delay. Throughout the entirety of this paper, we describe the secure scheme for WSNs and discuss its correctness. We also present our performance analyses, which clearly show the scheme is secure and effective in wireless sensor networks with minimal cost.
