Abstract

To extend the sensitivity analysis for DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis), this paper proposes FA-DEA (Frontier Assignment based DEA). The basic idea of FA-DEA is to allow decision maker to decide frontier intentionally while the fundamental DEA and super-DEA decides frontier computationally. Then FA-DEA provides chances to exclude extra-influential DMU (Decision Making Unit) and finds extra-ordinal DMU. Therefore, FA-DEA has the opportunities to find valuable information from a variety of viewpoints. Simple numerical study has shown the effectiveness of FA-DEA as a data mining tool and the difference from the traditional sensitivity analysis.
