The aim of this study is to develop a software tool which will help commanders to view the battlefield in real time for decision making processes. The battlefield was modeled by a terrain model which was generated from real world data. Military units were dis-played on this terrain by using both recent military symbology and 3D models of the military units. Position up-dates for units were animated by using translation animation techniques. A database was designed to store data about military units existing in the software for later review and long term strategies.
