Abstract

This paper addresses the issues of MIMO detection schemes for LTE uplink at received port when V-MIMO scheme is deployed at transmitter, which is always a trade-off between performance and complexity. More specifically, the authors will focus on the deployment of of virtual MIMO in the UTRA LTE uplink and investigrate two different received detection algorithms, namely Zero-Forcing and Minimum Mean Squared Error Successive Interference Cancellation, proposed for V-MIMO dection considering performances and as well as computional complexity. Finally link level simulation results are provided to evaluate algorithms for implementation and feasibility. It has shown ZF-SIC outperforms somewhat MMSE-SIC in terms of BER under diverse practical scenarios dedicated for LTE systems.
