Cooperative communication improves the QoE of source user by using relay user to retransmit its information to the destination. As a result, the improvement of QoE in source user is at the price of decaying the QoE in relay user. However, the QoE of relay user has been concerned little so far. In this paper, a new power control scheme to improve QoE of relay user in cooperative system has been proposed. It is based on maximizing the instantaneous SNR at the destination under the constraint of power. Compared with equal power allocation, the proposed scheme can reduce the power consumption of relay user by nearly 13% while decreasing BER at the same time. Furthermore, the QoE of relay user will be improved further with increasing the SNR at the destination, which can't be achieved in equal power allocation scheme.
