The paper presents a novel scheme for both down-link and uplink scheduling in WiMax networks that attempts to increasing the frame utilization in base station (BS) with the delay requirements of traffics. In the paper, it assumes a polling-based mode of operation at the base station (BS), and calculating frame duration by synthetically considering frame utilization and the subscribe stations (SSs) waiting queuing according to birth-death process analysis. In addition to theoretical analysis, simulations are conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme.
