Abstract

In this paper, we introduce a more effective approach to analyze the envelope correlation property of two signals received at different carrier frequencies which contain multiple Rayleigh fading sub-clusters upon the noise influence, and propose a new approximate envelope correlation expression for maximal ratio combination (MRC), which may solves the difficulties occurred in analysis of signal correlation property under noise's environment, these expressions generalize known analytical results obtained for the case of single sub-cluster. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
