Abstract

This paper reports on performances of un-coded and Alamouti coded Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) based beamforming systems for wireless communications. The undertaken theoretical analysis shows that the Alamouti coded SVD based beamforming system has a better Symbol Error Rate (SER) performance over the un-coded one. This finding is confirmed by Monte-Carlo simulations which show that Alamouti coded SVD based beamforming systems are robust in frequency-flat fading environments.
