In this paper, we propose a joint TX-RX user scheduling (JTRUS) scheme for MU-MIMO systems. It assumes that the BS has perfect channel state information (CSI) of all the downlink channels and the user terminal only has the CSI of its own downlink channel. Providing some kind of codebook has stored in both the BS and the user terminals. User terminals gather the index of codeword which has the maximum SINR (signal to interference plus noise ratio) with its downlink channel vectors and feed it back to the BS. Based on the feedback information, BS manages to select one available user subset which could optimize the performance of the system through scheduling. Meanwhile, this strategy proves effective in the sense of reducing the complexity of processing at BS, only attended by an unavoidable loss in performance caused by the compression of user search space. Simulation result shows the sum rate of JTRUS compared with OLBF and PU2RC.
