Abstract

Cognitive radio has been proposed as the mean to promote the efficient use of the spectrum by exploiting the existence of spectrum hole. How to use spectrum detection technology to accurately identify the spectrum hole has been becoming the key problem in cognitive radio system. Based on analysis the characteristic of traditional multi-node spectrum detection, this paper introduces a novel cooperative spectrum sensing method, considering the effect of distance fading on different second users and the credibility of spectrum detection from each second user. Furthermore, this paper discusses the relationship between the credibility and the distance. The simulation results show that the performance of the algorithm is better than traditional multi-node detection, which improve the reliability of spectrum detection in cognitive radio system.
