Abstract

Investigates on the confidence probability of Monte Carlo (MC) simulation results for bit error rate (BER) evaluation under the condition of uncorrelated multipath-path Rayleigh fading channels. Based on the principles and conclusions of Monte Carlo methods and the analysis of statistics characteristics for Rayleigh Fading Channels, the correlation function of the instantaneous BER by MC method is deduced as a function. The variance of the average BER estimation results by MC method is also deduced as a function, which decided by the signal to noise ratio (SNR), path number (K), ratio of the data rate to the Doppler shift (L) and during fading cycles (n). The numerical result of this function is given and all conclusions in this paper are demonstrated by computer simulations.
