In wireless Ad hoc networks, broadcast plays an important role in the process of route finding and maintenance. The efficiency of broadcast affects the performance of the whole network largely. The paper proposes a limited broadcast algorithm (LBA), which defines a neighbor information table and chooses some neighbor nodes as transmission nodes in order to reduce the redundant radio broadcasts and improve the broadcast efficiency. We can also modify the broken route through neighbor information table. The simulation result shows that LBA controls the broadcast storm problem and improves the network performance.
