Abstract

This Paper introduces a new model of P2P streaming media broadcasting system--PPSLS (P2P Streaming Live System) which adopts a kind of hybrid structure which comprises the advantages of Tree model and Mesh model structure. The PPSLS exploits the advantage of easy controlling the nodes of the multicast tree based on the Tree model structure. At the same time, it also combines the method of using multiple nodes in data transmission which is based on the Mesh model structure. In this way, it can avoids the deficiency of poor stability in the Tree model structure and reduce the delay of the system. The PPSLS model employs the strategy of choosing the data sending nodes in the nodes of the system depending on node priority. The PPSLS also uses the scheduling algorithm of two-stage data transmission and introduces the idea of "Virtual Patching" in order to improve the characteristics of the system.
