Mobile wireless networks have inherently dynamic topologies. In this paper, we proposed an analytical approach to drive the average link change rate expression which is a linear function of node density, transmission range, and expected relative velocity. The result is useful in calculating update rate of periodical neighbor-aware beacon online and the validity of the result is demonstrated by simulations.
