Abstract

Commenced with the local topology structure of wireless sensor networks, the energy consumption efficiency of single-hop and multi-hop communication is studied. With extremum method, the relation of energy consumption in single-hop and multi-hop communication was compared and then the alternative was given. Moreover, we obtain a theorem that the energy-saving relay region exists in the multi-hop communication node. Based on the theorem, the construction of whole minimum energy consumption topology in wireless sensor network is proposed. In the end, the varying regulation of the energy-saving relay region with the position between nodes is analyzed in the experiments. The experiments analyzed the varying regulation of the energy-saving relay region with the positions of nodes, and finally the correctness and rationality of the minimum energy consumption topology construction was validated.
