Abstract

In this paper, we present a wireless sensor network based environmental monitoring system. The sensor network operates under mesh topology. Nodes are composed of RF transceiver CC1100, low power microprocessor C8051F920 and relevant components such as sensors. The MAC protocol accompanies TDMA/FDMA, frequency hopping and duty-cycled receiving, realizing a collision-free, energy efficient and low latency link. The data received by the sink node is finally uploaded to the Internet through Web Service. Users around world can get access to the data by pointing on the map.
