Abstract

In order to prevent the malicious attack from reducing the accuracy of aggregation result in wireless sensor networks, it is necessary to perform the attack detection in the received readings of all the sensor nodes before the resilient aggregation processing. However, the detection probability of the attack detection algorithm presented in the literature is small, and its computation complexity is high. Based on the model of resilient data aggregation in wireless sensor networks, a new attack detection algorithm by means of t-distribution was proposed in this paper. The novel algorithm is more energy-saving because its computation process is simple and it is based on the clustering model. It may effectively detect the attacking behaviors in the network and has a better detection performance compared with the existing algorithms. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the new algorithm.
