Abstract

Two schemes of multiple-relay opportunistic cooperative transmission are proposed to optimize the performance of cooperative communication system, which select available cooperative nodes according to respective Bit Error Rate (BER) and use broadcast channels among relay nodes to enhance the probability of detecting correctly at relay nodes. Expressions for theoretical BER performance of the multiple-relay cooperation systems are derived and their diversity gains are analyzed. The results show that the proposed schemes offer a superior performance.
