The performance of P2SP (peer-to-servers& peer) network and Peer to Peer (P2P) network is studied and compared in this paper. Two important key parameters are used to judge the performance: the time of file downloading and the speed of chunk propagation. The difference of the first parameter between P2SP and P2P has been studied first. P2SP has higher performance than P2P in two different assumptions has also been proved. A systematical model is built to study the second parameter. The result also shows that P2SP system has better performance than pure p2p system.
