Abstract

To achieve the fast mapping between the higher-layer protocol data unit and the connection, we propose a packet convergence sublayer classification algorithm according to IEEE Std 802.16 standard. The algorithm firstly constructs noncollision hash function based on port numbers and protocol values, then divides the source IP address and destination IP address into blocks to do XOR operation adopting the idea of subsets search. At last, the algorithm deals with the service flow which the packet belongs to. In order to test the algorithm, we design the WiMAX network topology in Opnet modeler 14.0 and sample the packet. The results show that this algorithm searches fast and supports a large set of classifiers and increment update, which implements the foundation of QoS.
