Low-density parity-check (LDPC) code, with advantages in bit error rate performance and low complexity, is nowadays one of the most important codes in Distributed video coding (DVC). In this paper, a novel non-uniform LDPC-based approach for multi-bitplane is proposed in DVC. Apart from the existing LDPC encoding in DVC, this paper is dedicated to exploiting preferable code rate between correlated sources with finite code length. Moreover, we also investigate comprehensive solution of different parameters in different bitplanes to realize unequal error protection. The simulation results show that the proposed non-uniform scheme improves the coding efficiency and decoding performance of DVC.
