Abstract

Web service technology has been proposed to implement management interfaces of managed resources, but the efficiency of the web service based network management system is influenced. With the development of semantic web, this paper proposes to apply semantic web service technology to the network management. In order to promote the efficiency of network management system and reusability of network management functions, an approach to define and execute composite network management processes with existing technology has been presented. Performance management service as a case is described using OWL-S, then services composited by OWL-S Editor.
