Abstract

VHF/UHF Radars use Yagi-Uda antenna in an array configurations for various applications including Pulsed Doppler Radars to probe atmosphere. In this paper, mutual coupling effect on various parameters of a typical 3-element Yagi-Uda antenna in linear array and planar array configurations, operating at 53 MHz, has been simulated using a windows based NEC-2 / NEC-4 antenna modeler. The theoretical results have been verified experimentally.
