In this paper, we suggest and describe an approach to the design of extended CSCW architecture, based on the embedded KSL (Korean Sign Language) recognizer. Our approach is important for deaf person's decision-making and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) in the CSCW domain. Accordingly, we implement the WPS (Wearable Personal Station)-based embedded KSL (Korean Sign Language) recognizer, that can support clear communication between the hearing-impaired and hearing persons, and then describe and estimate the applicability with 3 items (interaction, visualization and coordination), as basic functional criteria and requirements for a CSCW system. The suggested CSCW architecture provides a wider range of personalized and differentiated information more effectively in brainstorming sessions, and the user need not be constrained by the limitations of a particular interaction mode at any given moment because of the WPS can guarantee the mobility of the embedded KSL recognizer.
