Abstract

We present a novel IDM-CORVUS model for the usage of supporting multiple users in Cognitive Radio systems. Interleave-Division-Multiple-Access scheme is employed in the model as the spectrum sharing strategy for the secondary users. The basic architecture of the proposed model and the model setup are described and analyzed in details. The performance of the proposed model is simulated and the numerical results are given, showing that the novel IDM-CORVUS model is very power and spectral efficient compared to traditional systems operating in FDMA. Furthermore, with the proposed model, the transmission rate can be adaptively adjusted and the tradeoff between reliability and throughput can be easily reached.
