This paper presents a Mobile Information Service Platform (MISP) based on multi-domain & multilingual ontology, which enables mobile users to obtain information by making natural language queries via short messaging, and the paper also describes the platform's evaluation results. Information services via mobile phones, closely linked to people's daily lives, are now booming in the world market. The Short Message Service (SMS) is very popular in China, and it is more convenient for Chinese users to access an information service in natural language style via SMS. However, it is difficult for general natural language processing methods to achieve high processing accuracy. In this paper, a natural language processing method based on a Multi-domain & Multilingual Ontology (MMO) and Multi-domain & Multilingual Query Language (MMQL) is proposed. The MMO is used to provide domain-specific semantic knowledge, and the MMQL is used to provide domain-specific linguistic knowledge. Four categories of trial services, namely a traffic congestion information service, location-related information service, driving route planning service, and bus trip planning service, show that this MISP can provide considerate commercial-level services to mobile users.
