Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the PAR reduction scheme for efficient detection of side information in OFDM-based layered space-time system using the SLM approach. The investigated SLM-based OFDMBLAST system selects the transmitted sequence with the lowest average PAR over all transmitting antennas and retrieves the side information very accurately at the expense of a slight degradation of the PAR performance. The low probability of false side information can improve the overall detection performance of the OFDM-BLAST system with erroneous side information compared to the conventional SLM approach.
