Abstract

A case study discussing the development of semantically annotated web services with SAWSDL is presented in the paper. The annotations are used to identify substitute services in case of failures, in the context of food shops. An ontology for food has been developed, a set of annotated services, and an algorithm to evaluate service substitutability based on semantic information has been applied.
