Abstract

Lots of previous researches concerning airlines focused on operation performance, whereas they ignored the finance aspect that directly influenced their survivals. To evaluate airlines' financial performance, we model the problem to be a multi-criteria decision-making(MCDM) one. And the same time, evaluation criteria are grasped form financial ratios, and presented with fuzzy numbers to show their values under given periods. Then a fuzzy multi-criteria group decision-making(FMCGDM) method is utilized to solve the evaluate problem of airlines' financial performance. Finally, we illustrate an empirical example of evaluating the financial performance of three domestic airlines in Taiwan.
