Abstract

In pervasive computing environment, there are lots of various heterogeneous resources and services. Thereby, how to describe such services becomes one of the most important problems in pervasive computing research. In this paper, firstly some fundamentals for service description mechanism in pervasive computing environment are summarized, and then a new service description method is introduced. It is a semantic-level description mechanism implemented by ontology technology. Furthermore, a service matching and selection algorithm that can perform similarity matching and optimization selection is presented. Finally, the simulation results have proved its feasibility and effectivity.
