Abstract

We know that decision-making is one of very important research topics in application areas and the base of decision-making is ranking, therefore ranking fuzzy numbers is also a significant research area. In this paper, we propose a new method for ranking fuzzy numbers- endpoint method. Using this mean, the only condition we need are some special points of the fuzzy number that contains the interval points of the support and the points which membership degree are 1. From the numerical examples prepared in the paper, we compare our new method with some previous methods and then we can see that our method is not only accurate in results but also has a high efficient in computation.
