In order to discriminate a packet loss whether is due to congestion or to wireless link fault, an explicit loss discrimination scheme(F-ECN) is proposed in the paper. Fuzzy logic controller based on queue length and packet arrival rate has been deployed to improve the performance of F-ECN, which takes a tradeoff between the throughput and the delay time. Simulation results indicate that F-ECN mechanism is capable of performing well for TCP flows in wireless links.
