Abstract

In this paper we discuss the use of virtual social networks on the Interactive TV (iTV) platform. We followed a qualitative approach in order to propose a prototype of a virtual social network. The results illustrated in this paper help us to understand the main challenges for creating products in this field on the Interactive TV. We also present a discussion regarding the benefits and limitations of this technology.
