Wikis are web applications that allow a very productive way for collaborative authoring and communication over the internet. In addition, they have limitations to edit some kinds of contents, since the edition must be a very simple proccess not hindering the participation of less skilled people. This work proposes a new method to insert/edit diagrams on wiki pages. Pursuing to make the editing task simple and incremental, the proposed approach allows editing a diagram from its last state, instead of replacing it with a completely new one. In this paper we present: the developed tool, WebDia, and the proccess of integration with the wiki MediaWiki. We also show a comparison between the required tasks to update a diagram on a wiki page, "with" and "without" using WebDia. It was possible to analyse the potential of editing vector graphics within a web browser, and to show an easier way of writing wiki articles, making the insert/edit diagram operations on a wiki article possible to people with less knowlegde about image edition softwares.
