The recent proliferation of portable devices with increasing computational power as well as the advent of new wireless network technologies has enabled the realization of the ubiquitous computing vision. The paradigm of ubiquitous computing raises new challenges and requirements, such as the need of applications to adapt in the face of context changes while providing a suitable level of security to the user. This paper presents JanioS, an implementation of a new version to a library that provides SSH tunnel connections (Secure Shell) between applications. JanioS will be part of Prometheus, a system for provision of a service for adaptive security target to ubiquitous environment. JanioS will be able to dynamically adapt security parameters, such as cryptographic and data compression algorithms, according to the current execution context.
